How to Prepare
- Preheat the oven to 160°C (fan or top-bottom heat).
- Separate 3 eggs. Whisk the egg whites for 3 minutes until firm.
- Gently add the yolks and fold until combined.
- Add the cake mix and stir slowly to keep the batter light.
- Grease a 22 × 22 cm pan, pour in the batter, and bake for 25–35 minutes until lightly golden.
- Let cool for 5 minutes, then cut the cake.
- Combine 600 ml milk (3 cups), 200 ml cream, and the soaking mix. Mix for 2–3 minutes, then pour evenly over the cake.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Top with the included caramel sauce before serving.
